Ezekiel Chapter 7 through 9.

Ezekiel was a mouthpiece for God and he continued to speak of the destruction to come

for Israel. Because of Israel's great pride and sin, God would show no pity, and Ezekiel spoke of the humiliation

and destruction to come. They refused to know him as their one true God, so they would come

to know him in another way way by his wrath and judgment.

Israel could not escape God's vengeance because they had brought the reality on

themselves. Strength, wealth, and power could not hold a candle to the flames of God's wrath.

Even if they could escape the ruin, their lives would be ridden with guilt and misery.

We can be tempted to think this punishment is too harsh, but Ezekiel continues to validate the retribution
