Aubrey Coleman one of the hosts for the podcast and today we're looking at

the book of Ezekiel chapters 37 through 4. In chapter 37 we step into a chapter

that is likely familiar to many. It certainly provides memorable imagery of the power of

God at work in the most seemingly impossible ways.

The spirit brings Ezekiel to a valley full of dry bones, and Ezekiel is asked whether these

dry bones could live.

Looking at lifeless skeletal remains, many would say no without hesitation.

But Ezekiel's response is a testament to his understanding of the power of God.

He replies, Lord God only you know. God then commands Ezekiel to

prophesy the word of God over these bones so that they may live. He does, and

bones rattle and right before his eyes the bones grow tendons and flesh and skin and

Finally they had breath the bodies came to life stood to their feet and became a vast army

The bones represented Israel and ruin,

but God gave them hope of his restoration.

I will put my spirit in you, and you will live,

and I will settle you in your own land, then you will know that I am the Lord.

I've spoken and I will do it."

Then God instructed Ezekiel to take two sticks and ride on one, belonging to Judah and the Israelites associated with him,

and then to write on the other, belonging to Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and all the house of Israel
