imagined this bit at the top of the show would be a chit-chat about what I'd been up to that week.

Tour shows or experiences I'd had in the outside world.

Now of course we're going into week eight of lockdown and I fear my opening bit

isn't quite as exciting as I hoped it might be and it's the same for a lot of us I suppose

What I have done this week is make a really good pasta sauce

I've done about 30 miles on my bicycle and I've realized that mine and my partner's working lives are very, very different.

She works in finance and earlier this week she was on back-to-back calls about what was going to happen to the UK economy post the pandemic

while I was working out if I could roller skate and film on my iPhone at the same time.

Very different skills.

I look forward to every episode. It's a little ray of sunshine during the pandemic.

I spent my entire life having what your former guest Emma Kennedy referred to as lovely intense friendships with my female friends. I always had one best friend who I

clearly cared more than she cared for me. And in the end the friendship ended in a dramatic

fashion with my heart being broken and me thinking I wasn't worthy of a close friendship.
