In today's episode, we're going to be talking about the Beatles' final album from 1970, Let It Be.

The first question I have to ask is, why did you pick this particular album?

I guess I picked this album, not because it's my favourite Beatles album, or I think it's the best Beatles album, but because I think it's the most fascinating Beatles album. And the reason I say that is that with this album, unlike any other, you can kind of ask the question, what would the perfect version of let it be, be like, be, yeah.

And whereas, you know, it doesn't make any sense to say, you know, what would the perfect version of Rubber Soul be?

Because we've got the perfect version of Rubber Soul is Rubber Soul.

Whereas there's kind of, it's like there's a sort of perfect, platonic version of it be out there somewhere and we just see these sort of rough secondary approximations of it.
