| 0:00.0 | Hey yo! What's up my people? How are you guys today? Happy podcast day. It's Nicole. I hope today is a good day. And if today is a crap day, I hope that we can spend a few minutes together and make it just a little bit brighter. |
| 0:27.0 | So I have a really great interview for you today. I was in New York City this past weekend doing some fun stuff, doing some work stuff, doing some visiting with old college friends from my dear friends' daughter's bought Mitzvah. |
| 0:41.0 | And one of the work stuff, one of the work things I got to do when I was in the city is I got to interview Lisa Schlossberg. |
| 0:51.0 | And Lisa has just graduated from NYU with her Masters in Social Work and she will be my assistant at Omega this summer. |
| 0:59.0 | My total right hand man helping me get everything done for all of you guys. And also providing any emotional support that people need on the sidelines as the week goes on. |
| 1:10.0 | She is amazing, understands this work so on point which you're going to hear when we talk. We met up at the very fabulous and fancy, and I'm saying that with a huge wink, the pod hotel in NYC. And it's not that it's not a great hotel, but it is like being in a hostel. |
| 1:30.0 | It's these little tiny dorm rooms where I was staying and she came to my hotel room and we just had so much fun doing the pod and the pod. |
| 1:40.0 | And just talking about this work and how this work applies to chronic obesity and body image and the relationship that we have with food which is something that people are always reaching out to me about. |
| 1:55.0 | And just seeing what Lisa is going to bring to Omega this summer which is going to be amazing. |
| 2:02.0 | So let me tell you a little bit about Lisa. She gave me her bio and it's so awesome. I'm just going to read it to you guys because I couldn't do better. |
| 2:10.0 | I'm just going to summarize it myself since she knows all her stuff. I met Lisa last summer at the John Gabriel retreat and she was speaking to his audience after having overcome morbid obesity and childhood and her story is just amazing. |
| 2:27.0 | And then when she found me and my work, she was able to apply this work to her IBS. And another thing that people ask me a lot is does this work apply to IBS and things like that because I usually hear people talk about pain and they're not sure of irritable bowel and things like that qualify as TMS and they absolutely positively a million percent do. |
| 2:50.0 | So Lisa's bio, she is a certified personal trainer, an integrative nutrition holistic health coach, a licensed master of social work, Congrats Lisa, she just passed her exam and a public speaker. |
| 3:03.0 | After a childhood of morbid obesity losing 150 pounds in college taught her about the importance of mental and emotional health. |
| 3:12.0 | After realizing both overeating and under eating had been means of coping with unexpressed emotion Lisa grew passionate about helping others bridge the gap between mental and physical health. |
| 3:24.0 | And this is one thing I hear her say a lot. If the biggest problem you have with food for example is that you're an emotional eater, it's not a problem you have with food. |
| 3:36.0 | It's a question about how you're coping with your emotions and I hallelujah second that she now conducts both in person and online coaching sessions providing guidance as her clients connect the mental emotional physical spiritual and social dots of their own lives. |
| 3:55.0 | Her mission is to help both men and women struggling with their relationship with food, eating and their body and become aligned with attuned to and understand loving themselves throughout the lifelong process of growth transformation and evolution. |
| 4:09.0 | So Lisa is just such an awesome addition to our Omega team and also just to my life because I have never used my particular TMS laser on emotional eating per se and I think that it is so on point so spot on for the kind of work that I am doing that we are doing that you are doing and she brings just such wisdom and such a clarity to the message. |
| 4:38.0 | And I think you guys are going to really enjoy meeting her this summer if you're joining us at Omega. So anyway, just a couple of housekeeping things. First I want to say that in case you don't know we're getting closer to the deadline. |
| 4:51.0 | Sign up for the Omega retreat by June 15th and you receive the deluxe version of my online course Freedom from Chronic Pain. Absolutely free. That means you get the download version you can keep it forever and it's a really great. |
| 5:07.0 | So I'm going to give you a little bit of a preface to coming and working with all of us this summer at Omega. So do get yourself if you can together to sign up by then because not only would I love you guys to be able to do the course before you get to Omega but also I'm really interested to know how many people we're going to have in the room so I can start setting up my mind for how we're going to all be together this summer. |
