You know, we often talk about the dangers of social media, but there's always a flip side.

Right. Is he actually used social media to come forward against her stalker when she thought the cops weren't doing enough for her and her posts ended up going viral?

She told her followers that if something happened to her, that they should take a look at him.

Right. In her case, it's very extreme and it's actually thrown her into the spotlight in a way that she never could have imagined.

I was just so angry. Like, how can he come in within four months and within a month of stalking and harassing me,

completely turned my world upside down?

I'm Jamie, baby. And I'm Jake Deptula. On today's episode was strictly stalking. We're chatting with the Ziza Murphy, a single mother of two young children who's fighting for her safety.

After she broke up with her boyfriend of four months, he called her over 1000 times within 24 hours, who harassed her ex-husband's family and tried to break into her house.

Armbruth recorded evidence that Ziza contacted the Baltimore Police Department, pleading for them to make an arrest.

But they told her since he hasn't necessarily been violent with her, they can't take any action.

Later, she discovered that her ex had a history of violence against women.

Ziza was forced to relocate and lost her job because her stalker showed up at her workplace and began threatening her co-workers.

She recently turned to social media to share her horrific story and expose how the system can fail to protect women, especially women of color from a stalker.

Why don't we start? You can tell us just kind of a little bit about yourself.

So I live in Maryland. I've lived in Maryland my whole life. I grew up in Prince George's County, Maryland. Baltimore has been my home for about five years now.

And how did you meet your ex?

So I met my ex through social media. So I met him on Instagram.

Originally, you know, when I saw his profile, he reminded me of a guy that I was dating that passed away in December.

So I wasn't going to interact with him. It was really hard.

I think that is one of the reasons why I did open up to him a little too soon and kind of allowed him into my life because of that.
