What was life like for you right before you met your husband?

I lived in North Carolina. I was recently separated. I've got three children and at the time they were like 17, 20.

I got to think of the ages 23. And you know, just live in my life. I was a freelance writer.

I've been a certified medical assistant for at that point in probably 20 years.

So I was just kind of getting through the divorce and it wasn't an easy one.

You know, I moved into a townhouse and two of my kids had moved out and one was just starting college.

How did you meet your husband?

So what happened was true story. Kind of hard to believe, but I was commissioned to write a piece for a local magazine.
