and was compelled to try to solve it.

Eli Washtenk contacted Michelle's mother to see how he could help.

Pretty soon after first emailing Patty O'Connell,

Eli's investigation was in full swing.

He hired all kinds of experts and was pretty deep into the case.

Here is an email Eli sent Patty after meeting at the St. John's Sheriff's Office. He wrote, quote, Patty, overall things were really good at St. John's Sheriff's Office on Thursday.

As you know, we took a multi-dimensional approach to finding new evidence,

private investigators, social media investigation, surveillance, only to name a few.

And we have surrounded ourselves with highly intelligent,

very capable people, and a forensic evaluation still to come.

Eli Washtalk never lived to see the conclusion of the forensic evaluation he ordered.

It was a blood-stained pattern analysis conducted by Anna Cox, forensic science expert.

When we first started working on this story, we contacted Anna Cox to see if she could

complete her report.

She said yes. This is evidence which Eli believed was a bombshell and has never been examined by authorities.
