Hello everybody and welcome to this very special episode of Truth and Justice.

I'm joined today by someone who all of you are very familiar with.

For the first time since her short appearances on the serial podcast, Asian McLean sat down with me to talk to us about her experience in being the alibi witness that was never called.

I'm sure that there are a lot of you listening right now who have not been following our current case but have tuned in to hear what Asia has to say.

So first of all let me welcome all of you into the show.

And for the rest of you who are following the case, the reason we're hearing from Asia today is because after I interviewed Shana Couples in the Jesse Eldridge case,

the parallel between her and Asia McLean became crystal clear.

Listeners started taking to Twitter and tagging Asia and asking her about the case.

Asia and I then hooked up and I thought that it would be cool to talk to Asia for two reasons.

One because she's never really done an interview like this in serial.

And number two, she has gone through the exact same thing that Shana Couples is going through right now.

And so I thought it would be really interesting for all of us to hear what her perspective is on Shana's situation.

And lastly, the reason that we're dropping this interview today right now is because after the bombshells that came out of my interview with Sylvia last week,

to be honest, I need some time to catch up.

We got a lot of new information, a ton of documents we need to go through and cross reference to see how they fit with Sylvia's account of Kiow's murder.

So this episode has also given me a chance to get caught up and make sure we have all of our ducks in a row before we continue on with the investigation.
