Summary

It's Halloween which means we're talking about monsters (complimentary)! We've done devils and witches and an entire season on monsters of all ilk, but we haven't done demons yet, and so here we are! Come one come all as Sarah confesses one of her weirdest (charming) kinks and we discuss the age-old adage: "If a demon's horns aren't sexual organs, why are they even there?" We're heading back to the early 00s on this one, so headphones in because who knows what we're going to talk about?! Definitely not us!

This week also marks our 7th anniversary, so we're feeling just a little emotional (grateful). Thank you for being with us, whether this is your first episode or your almost four hundredth. We love you.

0:28.2

was it last year we did devils? So what we did last year was interesting because it wasn't quite

Yes.

0:39.3

What we talked about last year was characters named devil.

0:43.6

Correct.

0:44.8

Which really does move you into the historical world kind of exclusively.

0:49.5

Because I don't understand you guys.

0:51.4

Like, why can't contemporary writers name their characters devil? I would be fine with it. Just saying free yourselves. Free yourselves from the shackles of, you know, realism. It's terrible out here in real world. Sure. So-

1:08.6

Your character's devil. Enjoy yourselves. Yeah. Right. Now, actually, you know what? That was two years ago. Because last year, you know what we did. Last year was when we rolled out our theory about morticians, you know, right? Like, last year we were serious. Last year we did serious Halloween. Like, we were intellectual last year.

1:28.4

It was in 2023, yes.

1:31.1

And mortality and the grief industrial complex inside romance.

1:38.1

And listen, I'm very proud of that episode, and people talk about it all the time.

1:41.5

Yeah, it was like, but it was serious romance episode.

1:43.7

But it was too serious. I mean, I don't think I had a giggle one time. That is not the way today is going to go. No. So, 2023 was devils in romance, but like characters named devil. October 22, I'm like looking now. Now that like, I'm glad that you're going deep. I'm going deep here. October 2022, it just said spooky stuff Halloween romance. And I think that might be the first one we did. Spooky stuff. We don't know. Yeah. Just anything that was like kind of monstery. Yeah. Yeah. And we were looking for like, like, is it possible? like, this horror romance discussion, right?

2:20.1

Which I think we're having, we're, I'm seeing more and more.

2:22.8
