Hyacinth arrives at the church hall during Emmett's rehearsals of The Boyfriend

to continue her attempt to get herself a role in the production.

Later, she invites Elizabeth and him, plus the vicar and his wife,

to a barbecue she is holding at her sister Violet's home,

only to find that once again her sister and brother-in-law are having some terribly loud rouse.

She hurriedly works out a way of being able to cope with this when her guests arrive, but even the best laid plans, dot, dot, dot.
