Hey church family, it is time for Devo.

If you got your Bible, 1 Timothy chapter 6, it's one of my favorite relationships in the

Bible.

It is the relationship between the Apostle Paul and young Timothy, the pastor at the Church

of Ephesus.

You know, we studied 2 Timothy last year and, and you know this relationship is incredible.

And so we're going to read a bunch of verses, probably too many, but it's all set up from when we get to verse 17.

And Paul, the mentor, the father, is teaching Timothy how to talk to rich people at his church.

And so, buckle up for that. Here we go.

Paul says to Timothy, teach and urge these things.

If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ

and the teaching that accords with godliness.

He is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing.

He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and quarrels about words.

Maybe we should stop there.

Paul says, hey, Timothy, if the people in your church's Facebook is all and only quarrelsome and just controversy about words,

then you need to say something about it. So Church of 1122, I need to say something about it.

Watch yourself online. Watch yourself online. If you were a believer in Jesus Christ,

your words, according to Ephesians chapter 4,

should be edifying to the needs of the hearer.

Please, please, please don't get caught up

in some kind of social media frenzy
