which was a documentary about what happens to young black girls in the school system and I thought it was really powerful since

we are heading back to schools most of us hopefully virtually but we need to start to

re-examine what is the purpose of education and how are our

children being served in the schools right now in their current construct and

this is the perfect time to start to have these conversations

when so many things have been shut down and twisted around and changed dramatically

perhaps forever and maybe it needs to have changed forever.

But the one thing that we know is that our children spend most of their days

in school under somebody else's rule.

And that means that they're being indoctrinated, that means they're being treated in a certain way,

they're being shaped primarily by people who are not you.

So if we're going to have a modicum of control on the outcomes, we need to start to really examine what that looks like.

And the best way is to see where it is right now.

So the conversation starts around T and hot flashes and all of the ways in which her Teaboktanics

are helping women regulate their insides.

But then we got into a deeper conversation about what's happening in the world as it relates to particularly our young black girls.
