Juneteenth all right so y'all's president announced that he was going to go to Tulsa, Oklahoma, birthplace of Black

Wall Street, Greenwood, Tulsa, Oklahoma, which we talked briefly about here on on

this space. To have his first clan rally, I mean his presidential rally on Juneteenth.

Now he has since said he's going to cancel, you know, he's postponing it because he didn't realize out of respect for Juneteenth.

He didn't realize it.

And since everything, since the world has been on fire, the NFL has declared Juneteenth a national holiday. Nike, Nike has

declared it a national holiday. They're giving their workers day off.

Twitter has a whole yeah they have a whole Juneteenth thing as well.

Their Black Twitter space actually went to their Juneteenth celebration last year.

It was, you know, red soda and red velvet cake cake it was a lot of fun.

Yeah, I actually did that at Twitter last year.

So let me just be transparent Dr. Carr.

I did not know what Juneteenth was until I think I was in my 30s. I'm from New Jersey as everyone knows I love being from Jersey

I didn't celebrate Juneteenth we We celebrated 4th of July.

Sure. Like most Americans, like, you know,

I grew up in a black household pretty woke,

but Juneteenth was not something that we understood or knew or did or talked about. Is that the is that on purpose?

It wasn't unusual. It wasn't unusual by then. If we think of Juneteenth in terms of when it has been celebrated and where it has been celebrated
