Yeah, so we were having this conversation about showing up in different rooms,

and I was telling you that, you know, as a black woman,

early in my career, I found myself being the only black person in many rooms

invited you know with folks CEOs and places and I didn't like it and I decided that I was

not going to do that anymore and you told me that was a bad decision.

I did. I did tell you that there were other ways to do it and that the other way to do it was just bring a plus one who could

really benefit from being in that room or potentially take some of those ideas

You were saying that, you know, being in the room is the only black person that you're able to see

certain things and I was like I understood what you were saying but I was saying that

I show up a certain kind of way so when I walk in a room

People are in their peace and cues you know and I was sharing with you when I was growing up you know I was the big kid, the fat kid or whatever, and so I was ready.

So at an early age, you know, my mouth was vicious.

So in my mind, I said, I'm going to attack you verbally so that you never think about saying

anything to me and so I walk in the room with that energy so people aren't

going to necessarily slip up and say the inward around me that's That's correct. Or else, you know.
