0:17.7	We had a conversation around this issue of shaming and spanking and it turned into something that has challenged me about the things that I grew up
0:26.8	believing were true and they say when you know better you do better well I have a
0:30.9	180 perspective now on spanking I grew up in an era where, you know, we were all spanked.
0:36.0	Everyone was spanked, you know, you go out and get your own switch, and it was kind of like understood.
0:41.0	And if children were acting up up you need a spanking and most of us
0:45.5	have been spanked and we say hey we turned out great there's nothing wrong
0:48.8	with it well I don't feel that way anymore I think there is something wrong with it and
0:52.4	part of the reason why I feel that way is. I think there is something wrong with it and part of the
0:52.9	reason why I feel that way is the conversation that I had on my radio show. So I've
0:56.5	broken it into two parts. The first part is the discussion that Marie and I had
1:00.5	around a father who was shaming his child. The second part is Dr.
1:05.0	Stacy Patton who, man, she laid a quintessential case about Spankin that I have never
1:09.6	heard anywhere and it has changed my mind and my whole view on this issue.
