This is Karen Hunter and welcome to the hub. Elijah Robert Poole,

Poole, better known as the Honorable

Elagia Mohammed, born in Sandersville, Georgia,

October 7, 1897.

He was the 7th of 13 children born to William Poole Senior who was a

Baptist preacher you know one of those backwoods Baptist preachers who was also

a sharecropper as well as his wife

Mariah who was also a sharecropper. I'm watching and I'm doing a whole series

on what I'm watching but I'm particularly focused on the next couple of

podcast on who killed Malcolm which is a Netflix documentary six-part

documentary and it is eye-opening but what I'm doing is taking bread crumbs and following them right so this is not a

referendum on indictment on the Honorable Lodge Mohammed but in the last podcast I talked about

the Honorable Wallace Fard Mohammed and how he built something out of

nothing and then he went away like he just disappeared and no one knew anything about

him and literally the nation of Islam was built on the vision of someone that we don't know much about and I kind of like that right because it was handed off literally to Elijah Mohammed to take it to the next place and boy did he he created

an industry he created moss all over the country all over the world, thriving communities, Chicago, mansion, wealth, unmatched, but I want to say

something about that, right?

Because I think, you know, as someone who builds things and you have to always build for a sell and build for secession. And I think we don't do that. I think a lot of times we get caught up in the power of things but the true

building whether we're talking about a pyramid I don't know there were several

pharaohs that built several pyramids and the pyramids took 15 20 years to

build so who's responsible for it is 15, 20 years to build.
