Summary

Some people would pray for their neighbors to lose everything rather than see them as more successful. That's the story of the decimation of Black Wall Street and many of us have people in our lives who would rather see us suffer than work to build the lives they seek for themselves.

0:51.2	a relationship with the white part of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He felt it would
0:58.1	empower Greenwood to have a relationship. So he was their self-appointed sheriff, he went to their meetings, he was known by them, and so the day that Dick
1:09.9	Rowland was accused of raping or sexually assaulting a girl in an elevator on the white
1:16.1	side of Tulsa. O.W. Girl he went over after he was arrested to make sure
1:20.9	that he wouldn't get killed.
1:23.0	Linched, right?
1:24.2	Because a lynch mob had already formed outside of the prison.
1:28.6	But the question is, you know, why was Dick Roland
1:32.4	on the white side of Tulsa?
1:34.0	So as I'm reading this story, I'm thinking if Dick Roland,
1:38.3	because he could have been employed in Greenwood.
1:41.3	Greenwood had myriad businesses and married ways for him to make money and earn a living.
