This is Karen Hunter and came to the United States onto the scenes with a boldness that hadn't been seen in a while and he was preaching pan-Africanism.

He was saying black Americans come home come on home come back to Africa.

This was a man who hailed from Jamaica, but understood the power of the continent of Africa.

And if all black people throughout the diaspora saw one another's brothers and sisters,

what a powerful, powerful unit we would be.

His name was Marcus Garvey.

And when he arrived into the United States,

he ran into a buzz saw named W. E. B. D. B.

D. B. D. B. D. B. B. B. B. B. B. B.

worth most amazing, brilliant minds, academic, and otherwise, one of the largest fighters for justice in American history.

That was after he had already gotten one elsewhere at an HPCU Fisk. And they butt heads. Now, I don't know why they butted heads, because I wasn't around the 1920s, but it said that, you know,

Garvey's way encroached upon the vision that Du Bois had for Black America. And you know,

he was all about the talented 10th and that the

talented 10th would rise up the rest of us and he was about being accepted and

integration and proving to the white man that not only and Also true. I wonder if Du Bois spent less time putting banana peals down for Marcus Garvey and actually worked with him.

I wonder what where we would be right now. I wonder what would happen if they work towards the common good

using their individual unique talents for the betterment of black people and thus the betterment of the world.

Some even say that Du Bois and the NAACP,

which was one of the organizations that he founded,

as well as the crisis newspaper and others,

might have been instrumental and what eventually led to Marcus Garvey being arrested in prison and deported.
