This is Karen Hunter and welcome to the hub. So if you don't know where you're going you'll probably get lost. Okay. So today's Sunday and I usually

0:20.0

field a question but today I want to and the last couple of Sundays actually I wanted to spend a little time actually

0:26.8

resetting or reframing some conversations that we've had previously and today I'm going to talk about goals because I came across this article that said that 3% of Americans only, excuse me, less than 3% of Americans have written goals and less than 1 percent of those people

0:45.0

actually review and rewrite their goals on a daily basis. So that kind of

0:50.1

floored me because you know I've done previous podcast about the importance of

0:53.7

goals I even talked about how pivotal it's goal writing has been to my success I

0:59.3

started doing it when I was in my 20s at the New York Daily News. I remember it like it was yesterday because the daily news would give us daily planners.

1:06.0

And they had the monthly calendar on there and I started jotting down my little notes and then I got sophisticated and I would print out my goals and

1:14.3

paste them, tape them into the front or use that glue stick and paste them into the

1:19.3

front of the daily planner and when technology started taking foot I went off the paper and

1:26.3

started putting them in my cell phone and guess what happened? Nothing. None of the

1:31.8

goals that I put forth in my electronic device actually happened.

1:36.1

So I went back to the paper, back to the old at a glance, and this is to this day is what I use,

1:42.1

and I'm in it every single day and I have my goals taped to the front for 2019 and I have them sectioned into four actually two four five sections soul so but the soul never changes because it's all about

1:54.2

giving back and finding having a closer more solid relationship with God with higher

1:59.7

power and reading the word and becoming the word like tithing and all that that's in my soul and

2:05.0

I'm reading the word and becoming the word like tithing and all of that that's in my soul section and I have body

2:06.3

mind money and business now business has taken off has been an increased section for me as I get more business-minded and so that

2:17.0

that the goals for that have been exponential and has kind of taken over my

2:22.4

whole goals section. But here's a deal, you know, just like your

2:26.8

GPS, you don't aimlessly drive now that we have cars that you know you can punch in addresses and it can give you the exact

2:34.4

way to go or ways that can even tell you where not to go because there's

...
