This is Karen Hunter and welcome to the hub. In my last podcast I talked about motivation and what motivates us to do the things

to accomplish the things that we want to do, our goals because I think everyone really

wants to be successful at the things that they want to do,

but they don't know how to get there. So part of the thing that I want to do with this

podcast and I hope that somebody out there is getting it is to prevent the neck sets that I've gotten the knee

bruises the busted lips and to kind of navigate life a little bit easier

because you have some tools.

All right, so in the last podcast I talked about the things that actually help us to be motivated.

And the first thing is autonomy.

Having, not having to do things, but wanting to do things, not having to do things but knowing that we should do things right so

what I talked about was having control over our destiny because the truth of the

matter is you're all grown you can do whatever

you want to do but to achieve your goal sometimes you're going to do things that you

don't want to do but you don't have to do them and knowing that you don't have to do

them is motivation in and of itself.

At least this is according to scientific studies, right?

So reprogramming your mind from what I have to do to what I should do.

And having a should-do list instead of a must-do list is a way to, I guess, trick ourselves into

actually being motivated to accomplish things. The second thing is value. Motivation blossoms

when you stay true to your beliefs and to your true self.
