I'm good.

I went for my morning walk, right?

And because it was raining, storming, and prayers everyone

who's suffering through a hurricane that's making its way up

the eastern southern seaboard, you know, be safe everyone. But the weather, so I walk out my door and I was like,

it's hot, okay.

Oh, so I'm walking though, but I see this sister with a full lamp down coat,

Ugg boots, scarf hat, mittens, and I was like like I was thinking about the metaphor because it's

mid-November in New Jersey it should be a little brisk in Chile so she's

preparing for weather that it should be,

not the weather that it is.

And I wonder how many of us are living in a life

where we're prepared for what should be

instead of living in what is.

And I was like, this is interesting, you know, and I get it this is interesting you know and I get it you know the habit will tell you this is the time where you put on your goose down and your boots and your boots and your hats and your mittens and everything because it's getting brisk.

But if it's 75, almost 80 degrees,

you aren't prepared for what is actually here.

So I was just smiling about that.

And as black people, we tend to prepare for what is because we just used to like Pavlov's dogs, you know. But it's a new day as my friend Diana Ross. It's a new day.
