All right, let's take us all the way back, Dr. Cindy.

Where are you from and what inspired you to become a doctor?

You know, I grew up in the Caribbean and I'm from Trinidad and Tobago.

I'm actually from the smaller island, Tobago.

Most people know about Trinidad,

but I'm from Tobago.

And I wanted to be a doctor. about Trinidad, but I'm from Tobago.

And I wanted to be a doctor for as long as I remember.

And when I was seven going on eight years old,

I met my first black woman doctor. And I fell in love with her and from then on I was destined I think because I couldn't see any myself doing anything else and that's who I am now.

Now were you were you visiting this doctor

like as a patient?

And then you were like, hey, what's happening?

She's black.

Yeah, well, I actually went to see her with my mom. So my mom had gone to her. I think my mom went to get sick leave.
