What the heck is going on?

I go out the country for a couple of days, and all hell seems to be breaking loose.

We've got the middle of the road Tories threatening their own government over the human rights of illegal migrants.

We've got a deputy prime minister telling us to expect some major catastrophes that will need candles

for. Prince Harry's back in court begging for us to pay for his security. And there's yet more

strikes being organised by doctors just so that you could have a miserable Christmas and new year.

Brilliant. Today, we saw the third Home Secretary in less than two years, actually, in Rwanda, trying to breathe life into what very much looks like the remains of a dead policy.

James cleverly popped across to Kigali to sign a new treaty with the African nation,

which is designed to make it possible to send migrants there when they arrive on our shores.

Except, of course, it won't, because Tory MPs and judges have joined the lefty lawyers

and Gary Linnikers of this world to make sure it doesn't happen.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry's back in court whining about how badly treated he is, just days after the Omid's scobie racism fiasco,

but this time the Royals are on a charm offensive to keep little boy lost out of the papers.

Whatever will Meghan have to say?

Harry! And the junior doctors are at it again

announcing practically two weeks of strikes

that will start before Christmas

and won't stop until the second week of New Year.

Cynical, manipulative, distressing

and downright selfish is how I'd describe them.
