Well, hello, everybody, and welcome to episode number 36 of the road-trecking RV podcast.

I'm Mike Wendland, and with me is my lifelong traveling

companion, my bride, Jennifer. Good morning, Michael. Well, this is an interesting morning. We're

coming to you from Eureka, Missouri, where we happen to be right now in a K-O-A campground here. We're

camped in a pretty nice little spot in a beautiful sunny day,

but it has been a very interesting trip to say the least. We started off, this is actually

going to be a six-week trip, and I should explain to you that if the audio sounds a little

different and you don't hear

the normal production elements, hang in there, you'll hear all about them because some of

those things we can't do right now. But we have a good reason. But we're on the middle of a six-week

trip that will take us down into Arizona and then up to Montana, Wyoming, and through the canyon lands of Idaho as we get up that way,

and it's going to be a great trip. We started off tracing Route 66. And we were having such a good time,

taking lots of great pictures, nothing but fun. Oh my goodness, that's an interesting place of nostalgia and just a,

well, we'll talk a whole bunch more about that a little bit later on. But the reason this is sounding

a little bit difficult is because last night we pulled our road truck RV into a restaurant in Collinsville, Illinois.

That's just across the Mississippi River from St. Louis.
