Summary

Bear attacks and bad weather are making headlines all over the place and you definitely do NOT want any future headlines like that involving you on your RVing adventures! That's why for this episode of the Roadtreking RV podcast we talk all about these two big potential pitfalls of RVing. We have a report from the National Park Service about how to enjoy bears without any trouble. The majority of the show, however, is dedicated to dealing with bad weather, which is especially timely for the spring season. Mark Polk, of RV Education 101, joins Mike to talk about the dangers of severe weather and RVing. Among other things, they discuss: How to drive when you suddenly encounter heavy winds What safety equipment you should condider installing on your motorhome or the towing system for your travel trailer Why an RV is no match for strong winds Why you should not stay in the RV when a dangerous storm is approaching The most common mistakes RVers make when encountering sever weather The first question you should ask when checking into an RV park or campground If storm-chasing TV shows are helpful or harmful when it comes to educating people about severe weather We also talk tech tips and food storage while RVing on episode 35 of the Roadtreking RV podcast!
