Hello, listener. Nice of you to come back. Ruth Jones, for she is my guest, is one of my oldest and dearest friends. We've known each other since you were teenagers at school together in Porthcourt. We've spoken before on the podcast. She's one of that elite band of two timers. This time we talk about you know what and the new special

of you know what. But we also cover other stuff, what it was like growing up in South Wales

in the 1980s and some of the jobs that Ruth has done, because when I

was getting ready to do this interview, I got sent a list of all her credits. And I was amazed

Today Today's guest is a writer and a producer and an actor. She's someone I've known since I was about, I think, 14. She is probably best known as the

co-creator of one of the biggest sitcoms ever to be on the BBC and plays one of the biggest

sitcom characters ever to be on the BBC.

She's currently hitting it out of the park eight times a week in the west end of London

at the huge cavernous Dominion Theatre in the Never Gets Old can be on as many times as they

like and people still want to come and see it,
