I think one of the most precious messages in all of God's word is the number of times where God says,

return to me. Return to me. Don't you love that message? Over and over again, when God's people

have gone away from Him, when they have forsaken Him, when they've followed after false gods,

when they've gone into the far country as prodigal

sons, God's message of mercy and grace is always, return to me.

And we're following a family, Limelech, the husband, Naomi the wife, two sons.

They leave their homeland in Bethlehem and travel 60 miles to Moab where they think

that they will be relieved of the pressures and the problems in their homeland.

You see, there's a famine back home, and they think they can get away from their circumstances.

So we saw them in the early verses of Ruth Chapter 1 running from their circumstances.

Then we saw that as soon as they left the place of obedience, that God began to create

circumstances with the goal of bringing this family back home.
