Hey, everybody, welcome to the writing room, and we're just so glad that you're with us.

And I hope whether it's a book that you've been trying to write or just trying to collect your thoughts for later that you write things down.

Do you know that if you wrote down a 60, 10 word sentences a day for 100 days, you'd have a book.

So I was talking to somebody that said, I've been working on my book for 12 years.

And I'm like, you just wasted 11 years and 10 months.

So what we do is we love bringing on people to, to inspire us. And one of the inspiring people in my life is Kim. And she's going to introduce our

guest today. I'm so excited to introduce Ruth Joe Simons. I have been a fan quietly in my life for a long time. So I'm

super excited. We are so excited to have you here, Ruth. Thank you for joining us. I am so honored.

Thank you for having me. This is so fun. Yeah. So Ruth, tell us about your adventure. And I know you

have a book that's coming out, but tell us about a little bit about

yourself for those that haven't been introduced to you yet.

Yeah, I am an artist and an author and a founder of grace lace.com, my website where I started

off blogging many, many years ago and became somebody who could in this different

season of life use my watercolor skills and marry that with words and turn it into products

that help people linger on the truth of God's word and the hope in Christ. So it's been a really

sweet season. I'm a mama to six boys.

So I don't know if we'll get to it today, but the truth is there was a season where I thought my ship was passing me by in the area of writing and creative work because I was focused on raising those boys.

But just because I wasn't out there publishing at that time didn't mean that God wasn't

cultivating the craft in my heart and in my private life.

And so, yeah, for quite a while, I was writing more behind the scenes, not on Instagram,

not monetizing, but then about nine years ago, Grace Lace became an actual brand and an online website.
