We've been discussing nukes, but non nukes are also an issue.

The high ground, that was the moon in the 20th century.

The moon race was about that. You can see that it's not employed today but

low-Earth orbit is also a high ground for surveillance for radars and for

launching weapon systems I learned Henry excitedly that there was a secret

secret military Soviet program in the 1970s that put not one but several space

stations to be manned in orbit that the US either didn't know about or knew about it and never talked.

Wasn't it revealed for many years, even in the Soviet Union and then the Soviet Union

went south and still the details are mixed but it is true that it was happened

at the same time there was Daytona, a man space station that

had the capability of launching or at least participating in a hot war? We have a couple of minutes here is there anything comparable to a secret

military use station in lower orbit now by our adversaries

no orbit now by our adversaries? No, because we now are able to better sense and locate things in space than we were before.

There is of course a growing Chinese and to a lesser extent Russian dual use set of constellations that could be used for military purposes, but for the most part we know where these things are.

There is now, however, something that's conceivable that the Chinese had proposed most recently this grab the headlines

that could present a real headache even if you knew it was out there.

They, the Chinese scientists, had published a paper saying,

well, you know, we, there's a real possibility of being hit by an asteroid,

and the only way we can really prevent this is by having nuclear weapons that can either be launched from the ground

and or are launched from a space, a network of satellites that have nuclear weapons on them orbiting space.
