Once Eric Davis in the Hall of Fame

Welcome to another edition of The Around the NFL Podcast. My name is Dan Hanzas. I come to you from a

virtual room filled with some heroes Mark Sessler, Greg Rosenthal, if you are not

a baseball team. Eric Davis was a five-tool star in the United States

and he was a red baseball team, wet West's favorite

team and injuries conspired to keep him out of the hall.

But perhaps maybe as a nod to West, the baseball gods and

really the voters. Now you get dicey where you're counting on the voters for a miracle.

Put Eric Davis in. But great player. Eric Davis. I used to tease West. He was no Darryl Strawberry

who is another superstar of that ilk in the late 80s. But Eric Davis is probably a

more well-rounded player. For some reason I always just when I think of the reds, I just think

how silly it is that their original name was the red stockings.

In How Silly it remains that there are two baseball teams named the red socks and the white socks

and the reds are the red legs. I don't know. It just seems silly.

I think socks is a newer stockings was the word of the day back than it was in

as off-putting. But I have a suggestion. The baseball hall fame is up in Cooper's town.

I mean I've been there as a child. It's a nice part of the country. Very serene.

Maybe we've got a lot of listeners, a lot of power behind this show.

It's kind of invoked to storm places of security these days. Not all in good faith.

But this would be we storm Cooper's town and force Eric Davis's presence into the building.

If they do bust we could have someone. I'm sure someone would be good at that creating a
