That woman engaged herself to me!

Welcome to another edition of The Around the NFL Podcast.

My name is Dan Hanses. I come to you from a virtual room filled with some heroes Mark Sessler, Greg Rosenthal.

That's one of the great, great, west stories. And not only because it's a great story.

Time back to the West's past and a woman that was very dead set on starting the clock on what she perceived as what her life should be, which included getting married fairly quickly, and then having kids and settling down.

I believe in Cincinnati. But the fact that West told the story so often, and mentioned it so often, it tickled him to no end.

It hit on two levels. So another great reminder of Chris Wessling.

I never knew that woman's real name. I just knew her by that tagline.

She engaged herself to me!

Today, any thoughts I can give?

I thought you said it well. I don't know much about her.

No, nobody does. She was basically that woman for many years in the lore of The Around the NFL Podcast.

Speaking of West, this is a bittersweet episode for us because Greg rolled out his top 101 NFL free agents of 2021.

And if you have any knowledge and back history of the show, I'll speak personally on this. I loved the top 101 because it's really the, the beginnings of the scientist lab, something I pumped up to no end was about the top 101 where Greg and West would come up with their own list and then kind of work together to figure out a final 101.

Mark and I even counted with our own underground list that people really seem to enjoy.

And maybe in some levels, on some level was superior. But the one that was the cannon for NFL media was the West Greg edition.

And we're going to get to that today. In addition to some news in the NFL, including a big decision by one of the great defensive players of the last 25 years.

But Greg, you did, I thought you really, you know, well written and well thought out the intro for the top 101.

You kind of reminisce about the exercise and doing it with West all those years.

Yeah, this is one of, you know, many times of year and he had just things in the last three or four weeks. It's been tough.

It's tricky. Like I don't know, you know, I know you guys are dealing with the same thing. Like we're podcasting and like we're, we're going through it as, as friends and co workers together.
