We're here in Genesis 22.

God says, take now your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac, and go to the land of

Mariah and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will tell you.

So Abraham rose early in the morning, saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him,

and Isaac, his son. On the third day, Abraham raised with him and Isaac his son.

On the third day, Abraham raised his eyes and saw the place from a distance.

Abraham said to his young men, stay here with the donkey, and I and the lad will go over there.

And we will worship and return to you.

Already five verses into this thing, we see the faith of Abraham.

We see the faith in his response to say,

I don't know God what you, I know I heard you.

I know you asked me to do this thing.

I don't know what's going to happen here,

but I'll respond to the request.

I'll respond to what you've asked me to do.

And notice his statement right here, we will worship and return to you. Sometimes faith is making statements in the middle of a storm.

Sometimes functioning in faith is just saying, you know what? I see what the news is saying,

but God is still in control. I see what I'm reading on Twitter, but you know what? I see what the news is saying, but God is still in control. I see what I'm reading on

Twitter, but you know what? God is still the creator of the universe, and I am his creation.

I know that God had promised me something. He has promised me a word. I've been waiting for a long

time, and all I can see, it's bleak, it's stormyy and I don't know how God is going to answer this prayer

but the response of faith is always I know he will do it I've seen him do it before I've seen
