and in the 90s quiet time was a church phrase

in the 90s people would be like how was your quiet time

did you have your quiet time what's what are you doing during your quiet time?

And for some reason the pendulum swung too far and we thought we translated quiet time for legalism.

We said I don't have to have a quiet time. God loves me as I am. I don't have to have a quiet time.

I can connect with God however I want. I don't have to have a quiet time. I'm good on my own. And we swung out the pendulum to grace.

And we said, the grace of God loves me just as I am.

Fam, nobody's trying to tell you that grace doesn't love you. But you need quiet time

because Jesus needed quiet time. You need quiet time because the Bible prescribes

quiet time. You need quiet time to get rid of all the distractions and all the noise

and all the issues and all the stress and all the baggage and all the

children parents give me an amen so you can get quiet all of psalm 46 put it on the screen there

psalm 46 says be still and know that i am god when you run around trying to solve everything and take care of your to-do list and trying

to build your business, build your life, take care of it.

Sometimes you're like, God, are you real?
