I think we have to stop listening to people who tell you what they're going to do and start

looking at what people have done.

It's important to me when I'm interviewing people that I'm not going to, well, what would

you do in this situation?

I want to know when you've been in this situation, what have you done?

So we need to start electing people who have shown servant leadership, who have shown

that they're not out for their ambition or their resume or willing to sacrifice, willing

to take on establishment leadership but not out of a disdain for authority.

So I spent 12 years in the military.

There were plenty of instances where I had to do what I told.

It wasn't out of just a general disdain for authority that I challenged the policy that

I did.

It was that I saw that it was hurting my organization and that I thought we need people with

credibility on this subject to speak out and be brave.

And it basically ended my military career.

And when you sue the Secretary of Defense here, you're kind of done in the military.
