Well today should be an interesting show Mark. Today we're going to recommend knowing where decision makers and influencer stand and proposals and decisions that matter to you and your team.

Yeah.

I hate to say this because I'm a high sea, I'm an engineer, and I hate politics,

but organizations are much more political than most,

or a lot of folks realize.

Yeah, and now the people who notice it say,

oh, I'm not gonna play that game. They know it's, I'm not going to play that game.

They know it's political, they're not going to play that game.

To their detriment.

Yeah, right.

And whether you don't play the game, because it's beneath you, which is just dumb.

And I say that with full disclosure, I said that early in my career or you don't know that there are politics

Whether you don't see them or you ignore them is going to affect your career negatively

Professional life is human life. That means it's emotional, and if it's emotional,

it's political.

And I gotta tell you, this is not good.

I think the trend in major organizations is a move toward more technical people growing in the ranks.

I think that's a good thing as the world becomes increasingly more complex and more technological.

But engineers and software designers and technical people better take note

because a lot of you quietly privately hate those marketing people and

sales people that end up getting promoted
