Summary

For everyone listening in the United States, Happy Thanksgiving! Jesse encourages us this week to step back and make a list of everything we are thankful for. Taking a moment to express your gratitude for the things you have and the things that are going well in your life is not only good for your soul, it's good for your budget too! We tend to spend so much of our time in the weeds of categories and transactions, that a little time looking at the big picture and being grateful can help us get back in touch with our priorities. Is what you have enough, is it sufficient?

As Jesse says, you really can't be too grateful!

0:19.1

on travel or whatever it may be to get you to where you need to be, want to be, or

0:26.2

obliged to be, whatever it may be. Happy Thanksgiving to you. It is a great time to sit

0:33.0

and count your blessings, literally count them. Write them down, just make the longest

0:40.2

list that you possibly can. And I know you can make a very, very long list. Every once

0:46.4

in a while, we can add a different little bit of ingredient into the recipe that is our

0:53.3

money priorities and we can add some gratitude. And you can just step back from what do I

0:59.5

want? What do I need my money to do? What goals do I have? How am I striving and striving

1:04.0

and striving? You can step back and you can just say, you know what? Here are a lot of

1:09.1

things I am grateful for. And throwing a little bit of that thinking into the thinking that

1:15.6

is your decision making around the four rules will do a lot. It really does do a lot.

1:23.6

Can sometimes give you a new lens through which you can then say, does this really matter?

1:29.0

Do I really want this thing? Will this do? Will that is this sufficient? But being grateful,

1:36.2

you just can't be too grateful. You really can't overdose on gratitude. And that can do

1:44.8

a lot in counteracting envy, jealousy, all these wants that creep up. And you don't even

1:52.0

realize they're creeping up because the marketing is so slick. How you're influenced as you follow

1:57.8

these influencers. I mean, the fact that we named them influencers, it's a great name because

2:03.2

that is what they are. What are they making you want? What level of awareness do you have there?

2:11.3

And could you practice more gratitude in the next few days and counteract all that information,

2:20.6

all that noise coming at you? So that is my challenge to you. Over the next few days,
