Through the years, we've seen an awful lot of different organizational shakeups with the Royals, the Chiefs,

are college teams in the area, sporting Kansas City, what have you. I don't know if I ever remember one quite as unique as what the Kansas City Royals are going through right now. A lot of times you'll see somebody on a staff, I think back to the days the Chiefs were really bad, and Frank Gans took over as the head coach. He was the special teams coordinator. You say, okay, they got rid of one coach and they put the other one in there. And we see that from time to

time. We also see succession plans where maybe somebody who's been within the organization

takes over as Herk Robinson took over for the Royals when John Schuerholtz left for the Atlanta Braves,

and we go, okay, they've got a good thing going here, we'll stay with what we're doing.

I can't really remember a time.

I don't know enough about other organizations and other markets, but I can't really

remember a time where the owner blows out the guy running the organization that would be

Dayton Moore is deciding that he's

going to have the underling, the person that Daytonmore hired, the first person, Daytonmore hired,

many, many, many 16 years ago. We're going to put that guy in charge. And just 10 days later,

that guy fires the manager of the team and the pitching coach and decides

he's going to gut the whole thing and do it his way. It's strange because the ownership is

saying, we don't really like the direction of this organization, but we're taking, in fact,

we don't like it at all. Okay. We, we, no, rephrase it. We hate the direction of this

organization. We're changing direction of this organization.

We're changing that, but we're putting in charge someone who's been here and part of what has been so awful and has been taught by the people we don't like.

This is a strange one.

This is completely different.
