I'm honored to be interviewing Rowan Ricardo Phillips today.

Rowan is a poet, author, screenwriter, translator, and journalist.

He has won many prestigious literary prizes and written four books, when blackness rhymes with blackness, the ground, translator, and journalist. He has won many prestigious literary prizes and written

Nicholas Gienne Outstanding Book Award from the Caribbean Philosophical Association, and his most

recent The Circuit, a Tennis Odyssey. He has written about sports for the New York Times, the New Yorker,

and the Paris Review, an English professor. He is taught at Harvard, Columbia, NYU, Princeton, and Stony Brook.

He graduated from Swarthmore College and received his PhD from Brown University. He currently

Tell us what The Circuit is about and what gave you the idea to write it.

Yeah, The Circuit is a book just published last year, still weird to say last year, 2018 in November by my publisher for Ross, Scrauss and Drew.
