Summary

MKULTRA was the code name for a top-secret mass-scale series of psychological human experiments performed by the CIA in the 50s, 60s and 70s. Experiments on humans were intended to weaken the individual and force confessions through brainwashing and psychological torture. Although it sure sounds like some tin-foil hat conspiracy, it's true and it's horrifying. This week we have an in-depth and fascinating conversation with Michelle Shephard, investigative journalist and host of CBC's Brainwashed, a podcast all about the CIA, LSD and the victims of one of the most bizarre social experiments ever conducted.
