Hello, residents. My name is Mike Estefan, and I thank you for downloading this month's

episode of the EM Clerkship Podcast. Welcome to the Game 3.0. For those of you who have been

listening to our show for a while now, you know that we've been doing board review style

cases for the past six years, which is crazy

to think about.

The first three years were during my residency with Zach taking the lead as the proctor.

The past three years have been led by myself with Maddie as the victim.

Maddie has now graduated residency, so it's time to move into the

next era of EM clerkship. We will now have two, yes you heard right, two fresh new EM residents

joining us to continue with our series. We are pleased to welcome Sean Romney and Isabel Tweet to the EM

clerkship team, and think you all will love them just as much as Maddie and I do. Now,

moving forward, Maddie will be taking over as the case proctor, but for the next few months

while she gets settled into her new job, I will be helping out as well.

Before we get started, you might be wondering why did we choose to add two new people to our team?

There's a few reasons for that.

Number one, while we love the interactive aspect of the case-based episodes of the game,

we know that you can't just keep doing the same thing forever. Also, as I'm sure

many of our listeners are aware, oral boards are changing in 2026 to a new format. We hope that in

bringing on two incredibly talented and creative new team members will not only able to produce

more of the content that you know and love, but also

be able to pursue new avenues of content as well. And as there will be two victims, we are going

to have them trade off months doing the game, and they will spend the other months when
