Welcome back to Hot Takes and Deep Dives. This is Jess. And frankly, my next guest in the words

of David Letterman absolutely needs no introduction. Please welcome to the stage. I can't believe she's

here. Rosie O'Donnell. Thank you. And the crowd goes wild. Sit down, everyone. Sit down.

Do you hear the, do you hear the John McDee music playing in the background? I can actually.

How are you? How are you feeling today? I'm well. I'm getting my shot tomorrow, my second shot.

So I'm going to be old, backstup and ready to go. Amazing. So that's exciting, but I'm feeling

pretty good. How are you? I'm good. So I do want, I just want to jump right out of the gate and it

tells you we are two Long Island Jews. Of course, of course or not. You are innately Jewish.

Oh, without a doubt. I'm culturally Jewish. Culturally Jewish. When did you discover, at what point

in your life did you discover that you were Jewish? When I met Lori Shackner in fifth grade after

my mother died and her family had Shagrugs and white leather couches and a beautiful backyard swimming

pool and the mother and father would kiss you when they saw you and the sister would kiss you.

It was like such an affectionate, amazing. And then as I met more and more and more Jewish people,

families as I grew up and older, I was like, this is what I love. People who like say their feelings

out loud on the like an Irish family where you cannot say one thing that would might upset somebody,

you know. So I just love the Jewish culture. I love the, you know, so many of my friends are Jewish.

It just always fit me, you know, it always fit me. And, you know, just the whole the whole Long Island

connection. I would love to know when you were, you know, I know you grew up in Comac,
