Summary

This week on Over 50 & Flourishing, we’re diving into a skin concern that so many women in midlife suddenly face: rosacea.

If you’ve ever wondered why your cheeks flush, bumps appear without warning, or redness lingers long after the sun, you’re not alone. Dermatologist Dr. Marjory Nigro is back to break it all down, from what rosacea really is to how to spot it, prevent flare-ups, and treat it at every stage.

In this episode, Dominique and Dr. Marjory Nigro discuss:

  • Why rosacea often appears for the first time in midlife
  • The difference between rosacea and acne
  • The role of genetics, sun damage, and stress
  • Best sunscreens and skincare products for sensitive skin
  • Treatment options from gentle topicals to prescription medications, antibiotics, IPL, and even Accutane
  • Why hope is on the horizon for anyone dealing with rosacea
