Greetings and welcome to a Monday edition of the Shotgun Start. It is January 30th, Andy. How are we doing?

Brendan, I'm doing great. I'm a little chilly. It's a cold morning here, but I'm glad we waited.

We get the Rory Reed showdown in the final round in Dubai, and what a weekend.

It was an awesome weekend of golf. This is like an awesome week of golf, a really good leaderboard at farmers.

Look, we had some messages this morning about where is the episode? We were sitting around all day Sunday, kind of back and forth.

It was a really quirky week, right? With the Saturday night finish, we could have maybe recorded Saturday night and done one this morning, but we felt like at that point, we should wait for maximum freshness for this Dubai finish.

And I suppose we could have gone at like 4.30 in the morning, Eastern or something like that when it finished.

Sorry, I could have just not slept. I could have just thrown all the other things I need to do today out the window and pulled an all-nighter.

We know we're happy.

I think we're happy we waited because we got the Rory Reed thing. Obviously, Saturday is finished. We will talk about it at length.

We'll talk about petries.

Where is everybody saying that the world ranking sucks and that John Ramms, the number one player in the world?

I'm not saying that he's not the number one player in the world.

Do you see how silly this is? How silly, how silly all last week's discourse is?

Look, Rory McElroy went again. I mean, not a thoughtless process. It's not a thoughtless, you know, purely subjective thing.

Well, just the whole premise of this guy should be number one in the world when the other guy hasn't teased it up all year.
