And on this special Father's Day edition of Nobody Told Me,

we're joined by Laura's father and my husband, Ron Owens. We wanted to talk about some of those

Nobody Told Me lessons. Guys learn when they become fathers. So Ron, welcome back to the show.

Thank you. Love being here. Love the host. And you couldn't have become a father, were it not for my lovely co-host, my mother, Jan.

And I'm wondering, how did you guys meet and, like, what was your first impression of her?

We met in the transmission room at the old KGO radio, which was on Golden Gate Avenue in San Francisco.

And there was an instant attraction.

I know there was for me, and I believe your mom felt the same way.

Every once in a while you meet somebody that you know is going to be important in your life.

That's the feeling I had with your mom.

And I guess she's been kind of important.

We've been together, what?

A lot of years.

43 years, something like that.

Oh, yeah, yeah yeah since 1977 that's right

1977 was when we got together yeah but we met each other in 1975 that's true and and i remember

when i met you and i've told you this a thousand times before i thought i wasn't sure if i liked you

i really was attracted to you i wasn't sure that's liked you. I really was attracted to you.
