In the United States, there's been a kind of consensus in both parties that you need to kind of pivot to Asia.

Now, if you're going to pivot, you pivot from strength.

Now, with Iran defanged, your whole base structure is different because the

threat that it was supposed to deal with was Iran. So now of a sudden, if you want to do that,

if you're thinking about moving more resources and more focus elsewhere to the Pacific,

Trump's action actually enables you to do it. Now, what's the vacuum that you leave behind? Well, here,

Israel stepped up into that vacuum. And if we have other partners in the region that are willing

to step up into that vacuum, and I think you have them, you can actually envision a whole

regional security architecture that will enable the United States to make that pivot. But that

Israel and our Arab states

and the region start taking a much more prominent role.
