So what Paul says is that what God has done to the Gentile world, the non-Jewish world,

when they have made this decision, is he gives them over to the delusion of worshipping death.

I see.

If that's how you want to live, I'm going to let you live that way.

If you want to pursue and worship things that die and things that do not bring life, I will

let you do so until your own destruction.

It's going to worship death and you're going to become like death.

That's right.

You're going to die.

We are continuing our journey through the book of Romans.

Last week, we kind of did all the introduction.

We looked at the situation, the context, who is Paul, what was going on in the church in Rome, what was going on in Rome itself.

And we looked at the table of contents that opens up the first chapter of Romans as well as Paul's thesis statement.

And today, we are going to start tracing Paul's argument through the whole book of Romans and hearing the gospel, which I'm very excited about.
