And so what Paul does here, so this is actually more fundamental than simply the restoration

and the accomplishment of what God promised to Abraham.

This is what God intended for humanity from the very beginning.

its historical setting, its purpose, the audience that Paul is writing to.

And now we've traced the argument, the logic of Paul from chapter one all the way through chapter four.

And in this episode, we're going to try to look at chapters five through chapters eight and tell us everything we've done so far in eloquent form

is our good friend Seth Stewart. Yeah, we set up in the first two chapters of Paul's argument

is that all of humanity, whether Jewish or non-Jewish, is under the rule of sin and the power of death and God's justice against those things.

All of us equally.

And equally, Jewish people and non-Jewish people are rescued out of the kingdom of death and sin by Jesus Christ, our new king, who has defeated

death and sin through his death and resurrection, and who has solved the problem of God's

justice by being the just sacrifice in our place. Now, since then, we have been saved from

God's justice. Since we've been transferred out of that kingdom.

What do we get now that Jew and Gentile are together by faith in this new kingdom under Jesus Christ?
