Are you a friend maker? Do you have real relationships with people that are based on your common faith?

Today we see a great example of a friend maker. It is the Apostle Paul. As we come to the last

chapter of the book of Romans, Paul is greeting people by name. And there are lots of names,

because Paul has lots of friends. Let's now join Pastor John for our teaching as we learn about friends in the faith.

As I pointed out Sunday, Paul was not only a sole winner, but he was a friend maker.

And here in chapter 16, we see ample evidence of that fact, that Paul was a man who made friends.

The chapter is a listing of names of people to whom Paul is sending his greetings. 33 in number. Now in this chapter,

verses 1 through 16, Paul sends his greetings to those who are in Rome. He greets those who are in Rome. And then beginning at verse 21, those that are

with Paul in Corinth send their greetings to those along with Paul as he writes as epistle. So the first batch of names are people

that Paul knows who are residing in Rome and he sends greetings to them. The final listing of names,

oh, about nine in number, are those that are with Paul as he's writing this letter,

and they also send their greetings to this group in Rome. Keep in mind, Paul was in Corinth at this time.
