1:05.6	Today on Searchlight, we are continuing our verse-by-verse study of Romans chapter 1. The book of Romans
1:13.1	is jam-packed with wonderful revelation of God's character and our relationship with Him. And
1:19.7	this first chapter is no exception. As we pick up the study today, we are gaining a greater
1:25.8	understanding of the wonder of the gospel of Christ.
1:29.3	With our study here now is Pastor John.
1:33.3	We left off in Romans 1, with Paul declaring, I am not ashamed of the gospel.
1:43.3	Paul was not hesitant to share it. In fact, he was excited about it.
1:50.0	I am not, he says, ashamed of the gospel.
1:54.0	Why?
1:56.0	Two reasons.
1:58.0	First of all, because it revives man's life. Man is dead in sin. Men are basically without
2:09.5	the Lord going through the motions of living. But in reality, wondering why they're existing and no real purpose or point of their being.
